IP Performance CISO Phil Cracknell interviewed on current HSE hack

IP Performance were contacted on Friday 14th May by the Irish Examiner for insight into the unfortunate situation at Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE).

As established incident responders, and with a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience on the subject, IPP were able to give some context as to what the HSE might be going through right now.

Our CISO Phil Cracknell added after the interview that IPP’s Cyber Breach Workshop, which is now running virtually each month, has already seen an increase in interest from our customers. Organisations don’t want to find themselves in the situation that HSE Ireland are in right now and should an organisation suffer a cyber breach, they know where they can find expert help to assist. Our interview touched upon some of the how’s and why’s of the breach. Read the full article here:

  • ‘We are really happy with the Juniper Mist solution provided by IP Performance and in fact when you look at the number of daily connections I would say it’s exceeded our expectations, for example in our Coatbridge campus the feedback from all staff and students for a number of years has been really negative regarding the Wifi but right now we currently have 600 users connected. The ability to look at the monitor and see what the trends are in terms of time-to-connect and successful connections also gives us the ability to see a problem before it impacts on a number of users. Therefore this reduces the amount of Wifi issues that are submitted to our helpdesk, so this again shows that the solution works.’
