We’ve been working with the team at Apsley Farm for over 15-years, initially supporting them with managing bandwidth across their farm before expanding to support them through several periods of exciting growth.
What started with network support services has now expanded beyond network support, with IP Performance providing cybersecurity consultancy as well as a managed SOC via our Swarm SecOps brand.

The beginning…
As a family-run arable farm that has diversified into sustainable energy production through biomethane generation, reliable connectivity and security have become essential to our day-to-day operations. As our business has evolved, we have needed a technology partner that understands our environment, supports our growth, and gives us confidence that our critical systems are always available and protected.
Our relationship with IP Performance began way back in 2012 when we needed help managing bandwidth across the estate. From the outset, their team took the time to understand our business, our operational challenges, and our long-term objectives. What started as a single project has developed into a trusted partnership that continues to support our growth today.
Growth…
As our operations expanded across a large and complex site, we required a network infrastructure capable of supporting both our existing farming activities and our growing energy business. IP Performance designed and deployed a Juniper LAN infrastructure, providing the reliable foundation we needed to scale with confidence.
The next challenge was ensuring seamless wireless connectivity across the estate, including around large agricultural buildings and outdoor operational areas. Following a detailed site survey, IP Performance recommended and implemented a Ruckus wireless solution that has delivered exceptional coverage and reliability throughout the site.
Security & peace of mind
One of the greatest benefits of working with IP Performance is the peace of mind they provide. Today, they monitor and support more than 150 devices across our network, delivering 24/7 monitoring and remote technical support. Their proactive approach means potential issues are identified and resolved before they can impact our operations.
Security is equally important to us. Through their SWARM platform, IP Performance provides continuous security monitoring and rapid response capabilities, helping to protect our business against evolving threats. They also manage network traffic and provide Web Application Firewall (WAF) services for our growing mulch business, ensuring both performance and security across multiple areas of our organisation.
More than a decade after our partnership began, IP Performance remains a trusted extension of our team. Their technical expertise, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding our business have helped us grow with confidence. A special mention must go to Principal Engineer Andy Millett. Andy has supported us from the very beginning and has always been there whenever we have needed guidance, advice, or assistance.
