IP Performance has been the trusted partner of a luxury fashion brand for the past 15 years, overseeing the management of its BlueCat IP Address Management (IPAM) estate. BlueCat IPAM provides a centralised platform for tracking and managing all IP addresses, subnets, and DNS/DHCP configurations across the organisation’s global network. Its DHCP service automatically assigns IP addresses and network configurations to devices as they connect, ensuring accurate provisioning and eliminating IP conflicts.
We worked with the customer to deliver a robust solution utilising both ISC DHCP Failover and BlueCat’s Crossover High Availability (XHA) to provide two layers of resilience between two global data centres. Ongoing assurance is delivered through 24/7 monitoring, software upgrades, remote technical support and monthly reporting.
DDI stands for DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), and IP Address Management (IPAM). Together, these technologies provide the foundation for managing how devices connect, communicate, and are identified on a network.
- DNS translates human-friendly names, such as company.com, into IP addresses so devices can locate services and websites.
- DHCP automatically assigns devices the network settings they need, including IP addresses, gateways, and DNS servers. This avoids having to configure every device manually.

By centralising and automating network address management, DDI can reduce administrative workload, improve reliability, strengthen security, and make troubleshooting faster. It also makes it easier for organisations to scale their networks as they add new users, devices, locations, and services.
