Meru Voice Services Module
The Meru Networks’ Voice Services Module adds several features to the WLAN system to enable robust and high density voice deployments.
Assured QoS for Converged Voice and Data Networks: Assure voice quality for your users with the industries’ only system that has Air Traffic Control™ to provide downstream and upstream QoS to prevent voice degradation in converged voice and data networks.
Call Admission Control: Prevents an excessive number of calls so that voice quality is not degraded due to overload. When capacity is reached, the system is directed to either reject new calls with a network busy tone/message or to move the phone call to an alternate VirtualCell™ if multiple layered channels are deployed.
Application-Aware Load Balancing: Enable high density deployments with Meru’s VirtualCell technology, which allows stacking/layering multiple channels in an area and then utilising VSM to perform Application-Aware Load Balancing to dynamically move phones between VirtualCells to maximise the call density.
Voice Device Location: Locate users by phone number/extension without remembering phone MAC address or IP address. Speeds up response in locating users when calling for emergency help.
