IP Performance Host Avocent HMX product update and networking event

On the 17th January, IP Performance hosted a well-attended networking event at the Crown and Two Chairmen pub in Dean Street, Soho, showcasing the Avocent HMX family of extender switches, and aimed at the Digital Media Post Production and Broadcast Industries.

The evening event was entitled "Post Production facilities and Broadcast businesses use Avocent HMX switchable extension solutions. Do you?", and the question was used to kickstart a discussion on the Avocent HMX converged KVM-over-IP switchable extender solution - current features and functionality, product roadmap, future development and technology trends in post-production.

Aimed at existing post-production customers and prospective adopters alike, the event took the form of welcome drinks, introductory presentations from Pierre Ketteridge, Professional Services Consultant at IP Performance and Tom Fitzgerald, Avocent|ENP HMX Product Manager, followed by open forum interactive discussions, some video presentations and closing with an open bar and buffet (it was scheduled to close at 21:00, but was still going strong at closing time, at 23:00!).

IP Performance took the opportunity to showcase and and promote the work of some of its supporters, such as music video director Alex Sufit of production company Lexitricity, whose work on Top Shelf Jazz's "Gentlemen in Squalor" earned her wins in the Music Video Award category at the Sacramento Film & Music Festival and Limelight Film & Arts Awards 2011. Here is the video:

IP Performance also showed the trailer to Amo Productions' "Makers | Our Story", a documentary on the current state of the independent British film industry, sponsored by IP Performance and to which Pierre Ketteridge contributed some stills photography. You can watch the trailer here:

The evening was a great success, attended by invitees from the likes of the BBC, Pinewood Studios, Technicolor, Deluxe Digital, Molinare and other luminaries in the film and TV production and post-production world.

IP Performance look forward to meeting all these contacts and customers again, and many more, at the upcoming BVE event at Earls Court 2 on Feb 14th - 16th. See here for more details.
